Event Details

For those of you who are new to our Holy Week observance, let me provide a little context. It might be easiest to think of Holy Week as one long service broken up over three days (Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Sunday). We spread the experience out so that we can more fully enter the story of Jesus’ passion and resurrection. So, we begin on Maundy Thursday (March 29th @ 7pm) with a celebration of the Lord’s supper. We walk through a liturgy and then break our Lenten fasts together with a potluck. The following day, Good Friday (March 30th @ 7pm) we will hold a Tenebrae service. This is called the service of shadows and is a solemn occasion where we remember together Jesus’ suffering. And finally, on Sunday (April 1st @ 11am) we will gather to celebrate the resurrected Christ. Everyone is welcome to celebrate Holy Week with us!
